Understanding Our
Terms of Use
Last updated: August 17, 2026
In using website, web application, web extensions or mobile app you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Levo service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Levo Does
Levo enables a buyer to share an online checkout with a payer and, after payment is confirmed, provides a restricted payment credential for that approved checkout. Regulated payment collection, safeguarding, card issuing, and settlement services are performed by Levo's payment and issuing partners. Levo may maintain prefunded provider balances to support the service; this does not create a deposit account for a buyer or payer.
User Accounts
- You must be 18 years or older to create a Levo account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You may not create accounts on behalf of others without authorisation
- Levo reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms
Virtual Card Issuance
Levo arranges virtual payment cards through card-issuing partners to facilitate approved purchases. Availability, currency, limits, and acceptance depend on the relevant partner and merchant.
Cardholder and issuing arrangement
The legal cardholder and issuer arrangement is determined by the issuing partner and Levo's programme agreement. A name displayed on a payment credential is for checkout use and does not by itself establish ownership of the underlying provider account or funds.
A buyer receives limited permission to use a credential only for the approved checkout and amount. The credential is not a general-purpose personal card or bank account.
By activating or using a Levo virtual card, you acknowledge that:
- The payment credential is provided through a third-party issuing programme
- Levo is not the bank or card-network issuer
- Your use of the card constitutes authorisation for Levo to process the associated payment on your behalf
Permitted Use
Virtual cards issued via Levo are tied to specific, payer-approved purchase requests. You may not use a Levo virtual card for any purpose beyond the approved cart transaction. Levo reserves the right to freeze, cancel, or decline any virtual card transaction at its sole discretion.
Disputes and Chargebacks
In the event of a dispute relating to a virtual card transaction, Levo will coordinate with the relevant issuing and payment partners. The available dispute and chargeback process depends on the applicable card programme and transaction. Levo is not liable for merchant fulfilment failures, refund delays, or product issues arising from transactions completed with a payment credential, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Buyers
- You are responsible for the accuracy of cart details shared via Levo
- Submitting a payment request is not a guarantee of payment
- Levo is not responsible for items, pricing, or fulfilment by the merchant
Payers
- Before approval, Levo shows the checkout amount, Levo service charge, any currency-conversion charge, the applicable customer exchange rate, and the exact total charged in the checkout currency
- By approving a payment request, you authorise that displayed total; a changed checkout requires a new or reconfirmed request
- Where conversion applies, the displayed customer exchange rate may include a margin above Levo's underlying conversion cost
- Levo is not liable for disputes between you and the buyer
Payment confirmation and refunds
Levo tells the buyer to continue checkout only after Levo has received conclusive payment confirmation from the payment provider. A pending, initiated, or unconfirmed payment is not treated as cleared.
If the approved purchase cannot be completed, Levo will initiate a refund of the merchant checkout amount to the payer. Levo's service charge and currency-conversion charge are not refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise or Levo expressly states different terms before approval. Provider processing times may apply.
After a merchant purchase, a merchant refund follows the original payment chain and may require reconciliation before the refundable checkout amount can be returned to the payer. The refund terms and exact charges are shown before the payer approves the request. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory refund or consumer rights.
Merchants
- Merchants using Levo must comply with our merchant partner agreement
- Levo does not guarantee cart accuracy or product availability
- Merchant data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy
Prohibited Uses
- Using Levo to facilitate fraudulent transactions
- Impersonating another individual or business
- Submitting false or inflated cart values
- Using Levo for money laundering or any illegal financial activity
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Levo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Levo platform or services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, Levo's total aggregate liability to you — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise — shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to Levo in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude Levo's liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer protection legislation are not affected by these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Levo after changes constitutes acceptance.
